Amir Landsman believes in giving back to the community and he practices what he preaches. He is very involved in charity work of all kinds. One of his most recent projects was providing support for the Blacksmith Institute’s Blacksmith Benefit for India. This is an annual event held in New York that raises funds to help reduce pollution across India. He is also an active participant in the SHARE Africa program. This program looks for ways to improve the lives of Africans who have been adversely affected by poverty and preventable disease. Raising money for these causes and actively helping them pursue their goals allows Landsman to bring more attention to the issues he cares about.

Amir Landsman has been an assistant coach to the Ducks, a youth basketball team at the St. Paul’s Athletic League. Under Landsman’s assistant coaching, the Ducks went on to become the World Champions in a season where they had a 12-0 series of wins. The team’s head coach, Jamie Most, sent Landsman a heartfelt thank-you email for Landsman’s efforts with the team. His assistant coaching was all done as volunteer work on his own time for a team he believed in and a cause he supported. Any time Landsman has the opportunity to be a mentor to young people in an area, he does so with an amazing enthusiasm that comes from wanting to help motivate the next generation to do more than they think is possible.
